Project Mini-Who: Redraw The Companions continues apace, and just in time for the start of the new series, I’ve finished my set of new-school post-2005 companions and other comrades. Here they all are, along with their Doctors.
Because there are so many potential teams and pairings that can be made from all these mini-folk, I am happy to take requests via my ask-box for:
- icons/userpics - let me know which characters you’d like (up to three) and what size you want the icon to be (eg. 100 x 100 px for Livejournal, 400 x 400 px for Twitter profiles, etc.)
- shirts/postcards/stickers/phone cases featuring more than one character - please specify which combo you’d like to buy.
I can’t promise I’ll manage every request but I’ll certainly try my best.
My ask box is also the place if you’d like to enthusiastically argue that I really ought to draw Astrid Peth or Craig Owens or anyone else post-2005 that the Doctor has snogged. As for companions for the First Doctor through to the Eighth Doctor, please watch this swirly space vortex as patiently as you can…
I’m going to a recording of John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme tonight, so in tribute, here are mini versions of the JFSP gang.
Praise from a spider. I drew this for mums-the-nerd but it’s going out to anyone who needs a bit of appreciation from a diminutive cartoon arachnid.
I’m currently working on rounding out my mini-Doctor Who collection with mini-companions, all freshly redrawn for a fancier internet age! Admittedly it’s going to take me a while to work through the full set, but I do plan to get there… eventually.
I’ve finally got around to turning my ancient mini-Torchwood icons into a collection of stuff for my Redbubble store! The following things are now available:
- The Torchwood team as a shirt, print, card, tote bag or pillow
- Jack and Ianto as a shirt, card or phone case
- Stickers of Jack, Ianto, Gwen, Owen, Tosh and Myfanwy the pterodactyl
In other news, I’m now working on expanding my mini-Doctor Who collection to include companions. Rassilon only knows how long this task will take, but watch this space…
It has come to my attention that five whole years have passed since the fictional demise of Ianto Jones, former coffee boy, pterodactyl handler and all-purpose snugglebunny of the parish of Torchwood. So here’s a mini tribute, accompanied by a revival of one of my favourite ridiculous Torchwood puns…
Tiny happy Batman. He’s definitely not canon but I drew him anyway.
Attention shoppers! The fabulous folk at Redbubble are offering 20% OFF EVERYTHING this weekend (until midnight on Monday 30th June) with the checkout code WEEKEND20.
So if you’d like to treat yourself or a friend to something from my Redbubble store, including t-shirts, stickers, posters, cards, throw pillows and tote bags, this is a great time for some retail therapy…
It’s been announced that the 1980s cartoon series Danger Mouse is to return to British TV screens, so it seems like an opportune moment to unearth my own concept art for a Danger Mouse reboot, first scribbled way back in 2010.
Hopefully they’ll still be living in a post box on Baker Street, but as for whether there’ll now be sexual tension between DM and his trusty hamster sidekick Penfold, we’ll have to wait and see…
Recently I’ve been watching Penny Dreadful and finding it pretty entertaining. I’m particularly fond of Eva Green, who is surely the result of a French holiday fling between Wednesday Addams and Joan Crawford. So here’s a mini tribute…
Have you ever wanted to have Tom Hiddleston plastered all over your chest, pinned up against your wall, flung over your shoulder or thrown down carelessly on your sofa?
Well, now’s your chance. Hiddlespotting is a new design on sale at my Redbubble store and features a selection of mini-Hiddlestons for your delectation and delight. It’s available as a print, poster or card, and also in a text-free version (for space/legibility reasons) as a t-shirt, a throw pillow or a tote bag.
After the Hannibal season finale, I’m sure we’ll all need a sit-down and a nice cup of tea, so I thought I’d design a suitable tea set.
(Warning: tea is quite probably people…)
