Another mission report from somewhere in the middle of Project Mini-Who: Redraw The Companions. This time it’s the Third Doctor and the ladies in his life. Next up: the chaps from U.N.I.T. Khaki colouring palette, here I come…

Project Mini-Who: Redraw The Companions reaches the Second Doctor’s era, with a rendition of the crew that I would call Team Memory Wipe, but alas, I fear the topic might yet be a little too sensitive.
By the way, if you’re keen to know how much progress I’m making with this redrawing thing, I’m adding a sticker version of each companion to my Redbubble store as I go: you can check out the ones I’ve already drawn here.
Project Mini-Who: Redraw The Companions is still chugging ahead, and to prove it, here’s Team TARDIS, version 1.0!
Since I started with new-school Who, I’ve now gone back to the very start and intend to work my way forwards, Doctor by Doctor. The fact that this method allows me lots of time to figure out exactly how many zillions of companions the Eighth Doctor has had and what the heck they all looked like is just a convenient coincidence…
Anonymous asked: When you get round to redoing the classic and audio companions can you add in Oliver Harper, was so disappointed he only first appeared after you stopped doing the icons the last time round. Would love to see him now that you're resuming them.
Hello, anonymous person! Are you by chance Simon Guerrier in disguise? I only ask because, when you asked me this question, I was already midway through drawing Oliver, in response to an earlier request from Simon.
Anyway, to celebrate this neat coincidence, here’s a mini Oliver!
And here’s an icon version, in case you or anyone else wants one.
Project Mini-Who: Redraw The Companions continues apace, and just in time for the start of the new series, I’ve finished my set of new-school post-2005 companions and other comrades. Here they all are, along with their Doctors.
Because there are so many potential teams and pairings that can be made from all these mini-folk, I am happy to take requests via my ask-box for:
- icons/userpics - let me know which characters you’d like (up to three) and what size you want the icon to be (eg. 100 x 100 px for Livejournal, 400 x 400 px for Twitter profiles, etc.)
- shirts/postcards/stickers/phone cases featuring more than one character - please specify which combo you’d like to buy.
I can’t promise I’ll manage every request but I’ll certainly try my best.
My ask box is also the place if you’d like to enthusiastically argue that I really ought to draw Astrid Peth or Craig Owens or anyone else post-2005 that the Doctor has snogged. As for companions for the First Doctor through to the Eighth Doctor, please watch this swirly space vortex as patiently as you can…
The Twelfth Doctor now has an official costume, so at last I’ve been able to update my Redbubble store to include mini-Twelve products! The following stuff is now on sale:
For all the other Doctors as individual stickers or t-shirts, feel free to rummage through my full Doctor Who collection…
A mini tribute to The Night of the Doctor. Or should that be The Night Out of the Doctor?
Attention, all Victorian Silurian adventuresses, and spouses and admirers thereof! I’ve added a new design to my Redbubble shop: you can now buy mini-Madame Vastra and Jenny as a t-shirt, sticker or card.
However, despite what your Sontaran valet may tell you, novelty cartoon grenades are NOT available…
Clara doesn’t know where she’s going or where she’s been. But darn it, she knows how to dress.
A Doctor Who question: what happened immediately after Cold War? Maybe the Russians did give the Doctor and Clara a lift, but most lifts don’t involve going halfway around the planet. So here’s my mental image of the alternative scenario…
Vastra and Jenny were definitely my favourite thing from the Doctor Who Christmas episode.
We interrupt this Tumblr for a Doctor Who public service announcement.
